Little Macha had scanned not in
foal. (According to her former owner's vet, this gorgeous ID filly - by Alice's
Diamond Slipper - did not exist!)
It was a speedy and uncomplicated
delivery - Little Macha is an old hand at the baby business.
The new arrival was rapidly on her feet and showing
an independent spirit. She was born at 9.15 am on
Wednesday 30 April. These pictures were all taken by 9.45 am!

This foal LIKES food.
Three years on, Surprise has been lightly backed and put in foal to
Lady's Tralee Raj.
