Sister Scarlet (Ire)

Thoroughbred
by The Parson ex

She'd had several trainers - we haven't managed to track her racing career.  But she was a nice type of mare, her sire is a well-regarded sire of jumpers and we thought her foals would serve as an example of what Raj could produce from a smaller TB mare (15.2 hh)

But as an older maiden mare, she proved difficult to get in foal and we enlisted the services of Twemlow Stud - and the coloured stallion Oberon, by AI.

He was a nice coloured colt but of course NOT what we wanted to breed.  Fortunately, 2nd time around she was more co-operative.

And along came Quicksilver (the name came from a Marvel Comics character of the same name - who had a  twin sister called the Scarlet Witch.)

From a very early age, he shows all the best characteristics of the RID/TB cross.
